Outline (in English)
This is an English class for learning four skills of reading, listening, speaking and writing. You will learn about a wide range of topics through reading and listening to authentic materials. Students will also learn to write essays. The goal is for students to be able to understand a given topic through English, to accurately listen to arguments for and against the topic, and to write a well-structured essay. Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Your study time will be more than one hour for a class. The overall grade of the course will be determined by the final examination (30%), the essay writing (20%), the home assignment (20%) and the in-class contribution (30%).
