Outline (in English)

【Course outline】The purpose of this class is to understand the factors that contribute to physiological changes (especially in body fat and body composition), Measurement and assessment of health-related indicators (especially body fat and composition), and Understanding and implement effective physical activity and diet.

【Learning Objectives】By the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. Learn evidence-based knowledge and information about physical activity's physiological and psychological effects.
2. Develop the ability to select necessary for oneself from various health-related information appropriately.
3. Understand and evaluate one's current physical condition and lifestyle, including exercise.

【Learning activities outside of the classroom】Students are expected to gather information about the class content at the library before attending the class and practice each activity and write a reaction paper based on the class content. In addition, students are expected to review each class and summarize their thoughts and opinions before attending the next class. The standard time required for these preparations and reviews is two hours each.

【Grading Criteria/Policy】Grading will be decided based on Class participation and understanding assessed by reaction papers and activities in class (80%) and Content of each presentation(20%). If a student is absent or late for a class, the evaluation of "Class participation" will be significantly reduced because the student will lose study time to obtain credits.
