Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The course will provide basic concepts of social welfare (e.g., principles of necessity and contribution, subjective and objective needs, supply and redistribution of social resources) and will cover concepts related to welfare such as professionalism, bureaucracy, and welfare state theory. The second half of the course will focus on disabilities, and will consider welfare robots, movements of people with disabilities, and the learning of students with disabilities.
【Learning Objectives】
In this class, students are expected to do the following
A. Understand the concept of social welfare and conceptualize what a welfare-oriented society is.
B. Consider what welfare by society means, paying attention to sources of welfare other than the government, specifically families and businesses, and develop the ability to view social welfare from a meta-perspective.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Prepare (not submit) for the next lecture, which will be written on the distributed resume. Preparation includes thinking about what is being reported in the media and reading report. As a review, grasp the entire contents of the resume and confirm the key words. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following in class contribution: 50% T, Final Report: 50%.
