Outline (in English)

This course is designed to increase the student’s ability to develop their overall English Language skills while learning about specific topics of TED Talks. Students are expected to improve their reading/listening skills as well as to broaden their understanding of current issues.

[Overall Objectives]
To help students
・increase vocabulary
・improve their reading/listening comprehension skills
・understand speeches without translating into Japanese
・identify main ideas
・clarify the structure of a speech
・develop global and cross-cultural awareness
・develop creative and critical thinking skills
・effectively express their opinions on current issues
