Outline and objectives

Effective communication opens up a lot of possibilities for anyone
wanting to work in an international environment. This course is for students who wish to practice and develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

Goal

This course will provide students with speaking, listening, and reading practice. It will also use activities and tasks to expand
their vocabulary and grammatical knowledge. Students will be given opportunities to develop their writing skills within the context of the course material.

The teacher will act as a facilitator and provide face to face and online feedback to ensure students successfully achieve the goals of the course. This is a hybrid class. We will meet some weeks in person and some weeks on Zoom. Please see Hoppii for details.

Equipment student needs to prepare

HOPPII, the Hosei University learning management platform, and Zoom will be used throughout the semester. Students who attend a Zoom lesson on campus will need a headset.

requirement. In principle, no more than 3 absences per semester are allowed.
