Outline (in English)
(Course outline）
The aim of this course is to learn how to deal with mathematical problems using computers and softwares.
（Learning Objectives）
At the end of the course, students are expected to numerically solve mathematical problems such as eigenvalue problems and differential equations.
（Learning activities outside of classroom）
After each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
（Grading Criteria /Policy）
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
class contribution: 60%, exercises: 20%, reports : 20%.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
自然現象を理解するためには、数学による記述や整理が必要不可欠であるが、ペンとノートだけでは対処できない場合も多い。そのような問題には、コンピュータをうまく活用することで対処することが可能である。本講義では、コンピュータを利用して、微分・積分の計算を行い、微分方程式、非線形方程式、線形代数の問題を解く技術を身につける。
到達目標Goal
・数値計算におけるプログラミングの基礎を身につける。
・Mathematicaの基本的な使い方を身につける。
・Mathematicaを利用して、様々な数学的処理ができるようになる。
