Outline (in English)

Outline:
By acquiring basic knowledge about the research theme selected from the specialized field and basic skills related to computers, programming, etc., and by tackling specific issues related to each research theme, the student improves the level of knowledge and skills necessary for writing graduation thesis.
Objectives:
To acquire basic knowledge of related fields by reading books, academic papers, and other reference materials related to their own research themes. In addition, students will acquire basic skills related to computers and programming by working on exercises. Furthermore, the learning goal of this class is to deepen students' understanding of specific problems and issues in their research themes and to improve their problem-solving skills so that they can formulate and implement their own research plans for writing their graduation theses.
Learning activities outside of classroom:
 A wide range of continuous learning outside of class time is required, including acquisition of basic knowledge of each student's research theme, acquisition of basic skills related to computers and programming, etc., and work on specific research problems.
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 4 hours.
Grading Criteria /Policy:
Students who have passed the interim review of their interim presentation and interim graduation research report will be evaluated based on their research efforts and the final review (graduation research paper, research outline, and research presentation). The evaluation will be based on the weighting of the student's research efforts, graduation research thesis (50%), research outline (25%), and research presentation (25%). However, students who have spent less than 180 hours on research will fail the examination.
