Outline (in English)

Design engineering encompasses not only the aesthetic aspect of design but also emphasizes the integration of proven technology tailored for both humans and the environment. Regardless of how visually appealing a design may be, if it is not underpinned by sound engineering principles, the structure will not endure. Even when conceptualizing ideas on paper, a keen sense of engineering is indispensable. To cultivate such a sensibility, a solid grasp of basic mechanics is imperative. Design proficiency hinges on a precise comprehension of fundamental structural concepts and overarching principles in engineering physics.

Throughout this course, students will engage in lectures and exercises geared towards establishing a foundational understanding of engineering mechanics and technology. Additionally, support will be extended to aid students in addressing unforeseen challenges and topics that may arise.
Students will be expected to have completed the requirements after each class meeting. Your study time will be more than two hours for a class.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following,
Term-end examination: 60%, Shor reports: 20%, in class contribution: 20%.
