Outline (in English)

Exploration of the new image of libraries in modern society and an understanding of media information literacy.

(1) To understand the basic concept of media information literacy of UNESCO.
(2) To be able to practice based on the media and information literacy curriculum.
(3) To be able to conceptualize the image of public libraries and school libraries based on UNESCO's media and information literacy principles and movements.
The goal is to understand UNESCO's Media and Information Literacy (MIL), to be able to implement practices based on the MIL curriculum, and to be able to envision a public or school library based on MIL.
Grading criteria are as follows. 30% for quiz, 30% for report, and 50% for attitude.
Students will be required to do prep work and homework prepared in advance.
For film production, students will conduct interviews and edit videos outside of class time. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
