Outline (in English)

【授業の概要(Course outline)】
In this lecture, students aiming for the teaching profession will learn fundamental matters related to teaching jobs, and will decide their aptitude and will aim to raise motivation for the teaching profession.
We will examine the current situations of school education and school teachers, their careers, future issues and so on.

【到達目標(Learning Objectives)】
In this class, students will consider teaching as one of their future options, and will gain a basic understanding of the significance of the teaching profession, the role of teachers, their qualifications and abilities, and their duties. They will also consider what it means to be a teacher, what they need to learn and acquire in order to do so, and determine their own aptitude and motivation for the teaching profession.

【授業時間外の学習(Learning activities outside of classroom)】
Students may be required to reflect their learning through the class. Furthermore, it is expected that students will study and research the opinions about teaching professions.
Your required study time is at least four hours.

【成績評価の方法と基準(Grading Criteria /Policy)】
Grading will be decided based on short reports after each lecture(50%), and the Final exam(50%).
