Outline (in English)

【Course outline】What is an independent learning style?
★ Learning keywords --- Deschooling, independent learning, human rights, internationalization, international support, NPOs, etc.
We understand "learning" something with the image of acquiring knowledge and skills. But is learning really just "learning"?
The style of "learning" in social education may include not only the acquisition of knowledge, but also the meaning of "throwing away" preconceived ideas and disseminating what has been learned. Regarding what is a social education plan to realize a new style of learning that is not found in such school education, the theory and practice of the course organization, as well as the social education director as a learn coordinator and facilitator. We will also consider the role, the actual situation of NPO activities and international volunteer activities in social education, through discussions among the participants.
Focusing on the introduction of actual examples of social education plans, we will understand the theoretical soil and educational philosophy that support these formation courses. In particular, the main focus of the lesson is to understand the learning trends and characteristics of adult learners, and to derive the optimal educational plan for learning support through discussions among the students. In addition, there should be an educational plan for learning about the ideal style of independent learning, such as cooperation between school education and social education, and contemporary issues such as international understanding, human rights, environment, volunteers, and coexistence. We will learn about this through discussions among students. We plan to add at least one report presentation through facility tours.
