Outline (in English)

In this lesson, I will learn about organizing information resources, which is one of the important tasks of the librarian. In particular, we will learn to create catalogs, create metadata, and classify themes of documents.
It is aimed at obtaining the practical ability of the librarian.
It is also linked with lesson of information resource organization theory.

Learning Objectives
Exercises such as bibliographic data creation, subject analysis, classification work, thesaurus, and metadata creation for a wide variety of information resources. By doing so, we aim to develop practical skills in information resource organization operations.
① Being able to accurately describe bibliography such as books, serial publications, and electronic materials
② To be able to use NDC perfectly. And it will be possible to assign classification symbols for information resources in each field.
③ To be able to use the basic subject heading table (BSH) accurately.

Learning activities outside of classroom
I give homework every class.
Also, the time you need for preparation and review will be 2 hours each.

Grading Criteria /Policy
It is as follows.
Exercise Assignment 30%
Term-end examination 55%
Usual performance score 15%
