Outline (in English)

The purpose of the course is to study Japanese Law, particularly the Law of Contracts, as it has established the Market from the end of the 19th century, with some limited comparison with English law. A feature of the course is that the student learns how a desired legal result can be achieved, or a legal hazard avoided, by selection of an appropriate contract structure. Classes will be recorded and made available online for students to view on demand. Homework assignments should be done regularly soon after each session. Grading Criteria (Homework: 30%, Final report: 70%)
