授業の概要と目的(何を学ぶか)Outline and objectives
In the last couple of years, there has been a big surge in stock trading among millennials.
This applied course intends to impart the basic framework about investment and trading in the financial markets. Alongside the students are expected to participate in a stimulating real-time portfolio investment game that faithfully and realistically mimics the market and thereby exposes the participants to the choices/trade-offs faced by professional traders and investment companies.

1. Understand, analyze real-time data of key macroeconomic variables and interpret their influence on financial markets
2. Assess various investment strategies based on the application of fundamental and technical analyses tools
3. Construct an objective oriented investment portfolio

Lecture, in-class activities, weekly trading, and forum-posting assignment.
The class is designed to be:
1.Interactive: With a strong emphasis on student participation.
2. Up-to-date: With the real-time explanation of unfolding events.
3. Applied: With real-time investment game mimicking the financial market.
4. Accessible: Breaking down the complex jargon in simple terms.
Throughout the course, the actual trading of securities will be explained and practiced. Students would be given weekly feedback on the trading assignment
